Official CSUDH Web sites will be managed through the use of an enterprise Web Content Management System (WCMS) called CM1.
CM1 is an Enterprise Web Content Management System (WCMS) software application developed by Percussion and used by CSUDH to manage campus websites. Staff and Faculty can use CM1 to quickly update their websites, manage content contributors and editors, and view information and statistics about their pages.
Using a WCMS has many benefits:
Official CSUDH Web sites will be managed through the use of an enterprise Web Content Management System (WCMS). Campus sites are currently being migrated to the new WCMS individually by department/school and division/college.
Your department/school will be notified two weeks before migration completed. (Migration times will vary greatly depending on site size, files, structure, organization, and complexity.) Once notified, end-user training will be scheduled with your department/school. Once completed, staff members may begin processing updates to their site on their own.
After migration, your department/school will be asked to review and approve the new site and ensure the content is up to date. Once approved, the new site will go "live" and replace your current site. (The URL to the old site will automatically be redirected to the new.)
End-user training information, training manual, and schedules can be found in the WCMS CM1 Training section.
The WCMS user interface is a browser application. You can use the following browsers with CM1.
Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7
Apple Macintosh OS X (10.6.2)
