Freshman Advising for Successful Toros

The mission of the Freshman Advising for Successful Toros (FAST) program is to assist freshman students with transitioning and navigating through the university system, in order to encourage optimum academic success.

About FAST

FAST is a university-wide program designed for all first-time freshman students (non-EOP/ETE), and is coordinated by the University Advisement Center (UAC). The FAST Workshops provide advisement on accurate course selection and registration, graduation requirements, and helpful online tools such as the Academic Requirements Report. Additionally, freshman students will be informed about university policies, procedures, and directly connected to essential campus resources.

FAST 2016 Workshops

Freshman Advising for Successful Toros workshops for Fall 2016 have concluded.  However, we are allowing students a final opportunity to complete the FAST requirement.

Students who wish to satisfy the FAST requirement should submit a FAST PETITION to explain the circumstances that did not allow them to attend a regularly scheduled workshop.  Petitions are being reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Students may expect an email to their Toromail account with the outcome and next steps.  Petitions are being reviewed within 24 business hours.
