Thank you for visiting the Title V - Encounter to Excellence (ETE) program at CSU Dominguez Hills. My name is Dr. Paz Maya Oliverez and I am the ETE program Coordinator. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to help initiate the first year of the ETE program at CSUDH. The ETE program is designed to assist incoming CSUDH freshman with getting a head start on their first semester of college and moving successfully through their freshman year. Navigating your first year at the university can be challenging, so we provide our students with advising, academic support, and other programs that can help you start college on the right track and learn how to navigate the various aspects of college life.
We are very proud of the success our students have had this year. Many of these students attribute their success to their participation in the ETE program. Like our students, I participated in a first-year retention program when I started college and I can honestly say that this was the most beneficial experience I had in college. Participating in Summer Bridge, being part of a cohort of first-time freshman, and having the opportunity to get connected with peers, staff, and faculty taught me what I needed to know to be successful and made my new college feel like home!
Please look at all of the programs and services we have to offer you. If you choose to come to CSU Dominguez Hills, we are committed to your success. Thanks again for visiting our site and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
