Scholarships and Awards

This is an award for a nursing student who put nursing in action through community services or active contributions to the well-being of the community. The recipient will be awarded with $250 and a plaque.  To apply, click here.

 

Priority will be given to students whose nursing care experiences have focused or will focus in oncology and/or hospice/end-of-life care.  The recipient will be awarded with $500 and a certificate.  To apply, click here.

 

Each year the School of Nursing honors one full or part-time faculty member for their outstanding teaching at CSUDH in the School of Nursing. Please consider to nominate your favorite/most impressive instructor(s). The recipient will received an honor plaque. To nominate an educator, click here.

 

The School of Nursing at CSU Dominguez Hills has established The Daisy Faculty Award program. The purpose of this program is to provide a national recognition and to demonstrate appreciation to teachers for their commitment and inspirational influence on their students. This program is open to any faculty member, employed at the School of Nursing in a lecturer, FERPer, part-time, tenured, or tenure-track position. To nominate a faculty member, click here.

The California Association of Colleges and Nursing is pleased to announce up to two $2000 in scholarships for graduate nursing students who are in or preparing for the role of nurse educator. Click here to review details on the scholarship and how to apply.

Kaiser Permanente seeks to enhance and support nurses who are in the nursing profession with financial assistance to complete their nursing education.  The awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 and maybe completed here.  For requirements and more information, click here.

The scholarship offers $2500 for students in the nursing program. Click here to review details of criteria and application process.

Financial Aid

Honors in the Major - Nursing

An undergraduate student may be a candidate for graduation with Honors in Nursing provided he or she meets the following criteria.

1) Completed a minimum of 36 graded units in residence at California State University -Dominguez Hills.

2) Achieved a minimum California State University Dominguez Hills GPA of 3.85 or greater.

3) Received the recommendation and approval by the Full-time faculty of the School of Nursing.
