The Pre-BSN Program opened in March, 2016 and is specifically for students who have been accepted to an ADN Program in California.  The ADN program must be regionally accredited (please see note*).  Once you have been accepted to your ADN program or if you are in the first 3 semesters, you may begin the Pre-BSN in the summer, which is the only time it is offered. You are not formally accepted to CSUDH at this time but attend classes through Extended Education.  This does not guarantee admission to the RN to BSN Program.  You may continue each summer until you reach your last semester at which time you can fully enroll in the RN to BSN Program, if you have completed all of the BSN Prerequisites.

Once you begin the Pre BSN you will be enrolled in a cohort which means you will stay together with the same group of students until you apply and are accepted to the RN to BSN Program.  All classes are online using the Blackboard Learning Management System except Health Assessment which requires 2 days on campus and will not be until your third summer.  There is a prescribed curriculum and at this time you will only be allowed to take 2 classes (6 units) per summer.  Tuition will be offered at a reduced rate.  The goal is that you will be able to finish your BSN within 1 year after graduating from your ADN Program.
