CSUDH deploys various web-based communication tools, ranging from mobile apps to campus portal, and maintains an active university web presence. User accessibility is addressed in all communications.
MyCSUDH is a web portal for Faculty, staff, and students to access information and resources specific to each user.
A Web Content Management System (WCMS) is software that provides website authoring, collaboration, and administration tools designed to allow users with little technical knowledge to create and manage website content with relative ease. CSUDH uses a WCMS called CM1 to manage campus websites.
iToros Mobile is a useful on-the-go mobile application that employs a cross-platform hybrid based technology which serves the needs of CSUDH students, faculty and staff.
Accessibility at CSUDH in regard to publications, instructional material, computer software, hardware and electronic information, as well as access to the campus is critical for the educational and career achievement of all persons. CSU Dominguez Hills seeks to enable that access with this directory of information and services.
Web Accessibility refers to the practice of making Web pages accessible to people using a wide range of user agent software and devices, not just standard Web browsers. This is especially important for people with disabilities such as visual impairment. In order to access the Web, some users require special software or devices in addition to a standard web browser, or specially designed web browsers. Design for accessibility is a sub-category of good design for usability.
A guideline for creating a coherent and consistent online presence for the University. It has been designed to set clear standards that will give the campus-wide Web presence strength, continuity and a framework for growth. By following University Web standards, all campus departments and units, regardless of size, will contribute to this end.
