Account, access, and identity management systems and services (Active Directory, LDAP, Shibboleth, Peoplesoft) protect CSUDH information resources. Your campus account and password control access to online resources and IT services at CSUDH.
Your campus network account provides access to IT services such as email, shared data drives, wireless network access, Blackboard, My CSUDH portal, and more. To qualify for a network account, you must currently be faculty or staff or retired faculty or staff. A current CSUDH employee with a campus account has to submit the request for a new campus account.
Currently registered CSU Dominguez Hills students and currently registered University Extension students do not apply for accounts. Accounts are created automatically for these clients when they are admitted to the university.

Access to the PeopleSoft applications is limited to members of the CSUDH faculty and staff and student workers who need to have that access in order to perform their work.
Users should always change their password only at http://dhnet.csudh.edu. New Users should go to dhnet to setup their challenge questions and answers. Should you forget your password, answering your challenge questions will allow you to change your password without going through the helpdesk.
In November 2005, the Technology Advisory Council endorsed changes to our password rules in order to increase network and e-mail security. These rules apply for the passwords you use to log into the campus network (e.g., at your office workstation, at an ETC podium, or with your wireless device) or Exchange/Outlook.
Passwords automatically expire every 180 days and require faculty and staff to use passwords that will be more difficult to guess, as summarized below:
