In partnership with Microsoft and Adobe, Inc. the Division of Information Technology offers home use software for faculty and staff. 

Important note for Office 365 subscriptions:   After February 28, 2017, you won't be able to download and install Office 2013 as part of your Office 365 subscription; and since September 22, 2016, the same applies to Office for Mac 2011.

Office 365 replaces “work at home” software, and is NOT intended for campus issued equipment.

Office 365 for Faculty/Staff

NOTE:  Microsoft software only applies to active (or current) State Faculty/Staff employees. OLLI and Emeritus are NOT eligible for software due to the terms of the license agreement.

1. How do I obtain access to the Microsoft software?

You can obtain access to Microsoft software through the MyCSUDH campus portal:

  1. Log on to the MyCSUDH campus portal.
  2. Click on the O365 icon, in the Software Launchpad.
  3. You are now ready click on Install Office 2016.
  • You will be re-directed to enter your campus username and password on the CSUDH Authentication Service page. 
  • Click Login.

2. Does the license expire? If so, when does it expire?

No, the license doesn’t expire, as long as you remain a registered, current student. However, every 30 days, will need to connect to login and verify eligibility.

Adobe Creative Cloud Suite - Faculty & Staff

The Division of Information Technology is pleased to announce the partnership with Adobe Systems, Inc through obtaining a site-wide license agreement for a line of Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise and Acrobat XI Pro software. The suite is available to faculty and staff at no cost. 

NOTE: Students majoring in Art, Digital Media Arts, Communications, Graduate Education, Geology and Geography may be eligible to receive the Adobe software for free. Check to see if you are eligible for the free software.  College of Extended Education students are NOT eligible for the software due to the license agreement.

How do I obtain access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise software?

You can also obtain access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise software through the MyCSUDH campus portal:

  1. Log on to the MyCSUDH campus portal.
  2. Click on Get Adobe Software under the heading of "Information Tech Services"
  3. You will be directed to the CSUDH On The Hub online store, hosted by Kivuto Solutions Inc.  Click on Start Shopping towards the bottom of the page.  You will be redirected to the CSUDH Authentication Service page.
  4. Enter your campus username and password on the CSUDH Authentication Service page. Click Login.
  5. You are now logged in to the CSUDH On The Hub online store.  Click on Start Shopping towards the bottom of the page.
  6. Select Adobe Creative Cloud.  Follow the instructions on the screen in order to add Adobe Creative Cloud for ETLA (multilanguage) to your shopping cart and obtain access to the software.

Students actively enrolled in the following majors are qualified to receive the free Adobe Software.

Art:

Design, Art History, Studio Art

Communications:

Advertising and P.R., Journalism, Mass Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations

Digital Media Arts:

Audio Recording Option, Music Technology Option, Television Arts Option

Graduate Education:

Technology-based Education, Counseling, Educational Administration, Individualized Program, Multicultural, Physical Education Administration, Educational Administration CASLA

Geology:

Earth &  Environment , Earth Sciences

Yes. This is an Annual Subscription that must be renewed on a yearly basis.
