User Services and I T Training

User Services provides support over the phone and in the field for campus login, hardware, and software issues.  The Help Desk Team provides support over the phone, while the Desktop Support Team provides support in the field.

Implemented June 2, 2014, this system is more robust than our previous system and is used for incident, asset, project, and change management tracking.

IT Device Rollout

The campus rollout program at California State University, Dominguez Hills consists of deploying Dell desktops and laptops as well as Apple iMacs workstations, MacBook Pro laptops, and iPad minis. The Division of Information Technology evaluates personal computing and mobile technology to determine the appropriate hardware necessary to enhance the end-user experience. I.T. recommends that the campus rollout program devices be refreshed every three to four years.

The Information Technology Desktop Support Team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and upgrading all campus rollout equipment.  If you are having a problem with any of your equipment, please contact the Help Desk at (310) 243-2500 or at http://helpweb.csudh.edu

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ROLLOUT

To qualify to receive a new rollout workstation and iPad mini as part of the Campus Access Device Rollout Program you must work more than part-time (>50%) as a CSUDH permanent state employee (faculty, staff, and management).

To qualify to receive a new rollout laptop as part of the Campus Access Device Rollout Program you must work more than part-time (>50%) as a CSUDH state employee AND be in one or more of the following groups: permanent faculty, tenured faculty, tenure-track faculty, and management.

The Division of Information Technology is working with the Vice Presidents to determine which devices are needed for the employees within their areas.
