Infrastructure Maintenance Update

On May 5, 2016, the Division of Information Technology, Infrastructure will be performing the following maintenance/changes:

  1. Updating GoPrint settings for student employees, 10 p.m. through 11:59 p.m.
  2. Reconfiguring redundant server storage connections, 10 p.m. through 11:59 p.m.
    Required Action: No action is required from end-users.
  3. Repairing  I:Drive back up issues from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    Required Action: Please close all files before 10 p.m. and restart your machine on 5/6/2016 after 6 a.m.

Wireless Network Upgrade

The next phase of the Common Network Initiative (CNI) is here. On Friday April 29th, 2016 between 8:00 PM and 11:59 PM, Welch Hall will be converted over to the new Alcatel Lucent network. You may temporarily lose network connectivity during these times as the connections are being changed over.

CFS & CFSDW Upgrade

The Chancellors Office will be also performing a system upgrade to CFS/CFSDW on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until the evening of Monday, April 25, 2016. Although CFS will be down, MyCSUDH, Lynda.com, Blackboard, Toromail, Library and other similar systems will not be affected.


PeopleSoft HR/SA Maintenance

Our Unisys Data Center will be performing maintenance on Sunday, April 17, 2016 between 12:01 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.  During this time, PeopleSoft HR/SA, Student Center, Faculty Center, and Self-Service updates will be unavailable.


Authentication System Upgrade

As part of our continual improvement process, the Division of Information Technology team will be migrating the authentication servers on Monday, March 28, from 7:00 pm until 11:00pm.

During this time, DHNET (password reset) will not be available. Between 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm access to Blackboard, MyCSUDH, ServiceNow, CFS, Lynda.com, Toromail, Library and other similar systems will be impacted. All services are expected to return to normal operation by 11:00pm.


Network Upgrade

On Friday 3/18/2016, 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM we will be upgrading our network equipment located in the SCC1 building.  This upgrade will enhance network connectivity and will temporarily affect buildings SCC1, SCC2, SCC3, SCC4, SCC5 and SCC13, as the computer and phone systems in those buildings may experience brief interruptions. Network Maintenance

We will be performing routine network maintenance on Thursday, 3/3/16 from 10:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M. We do not anticipate any disruption to services at this time. Network Upgrade

To provide the campus with faster internet service, we will be replacing all of our Cisco equipment with brand new Alcatel-Lucent equipment. The upgrade will take place Friday February 26, 2016, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM Saturday, February 27, 2016. This upgrade will increase both the capacity and speed of our campus connection to the internet up to 10G, giving us the ability to extend services, develop further research opportunities and address the growth of mobile technology on campus. The upgrade should not cause any interruptions; however, if there is a momentary loss of connection, it should not impact any users.


System Maintenance

Due to emergency maintenance MyCSUDH, CFS, Lynda.com, Blackboard, Toromail, Library and other similar systems will be temporarily unavailable, beginning Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1:30 A.M. ending 4:00 A.M.


PeopleSoft Maintenance

PeopleSoft HR/SA, Student center, Faculty center, employee self service will be unavailable beginning Friday February 5th, 2016 at 6:00 pm until Saturday February 6th  6:00 pm due to system upgrade. BlackBoard and toroMail are not affected.


Email Maintenance

There will be campus E-mail and server maintenance beginning Thursday October 15th, 2015 at 11:00 PM until October 16th, 2015, 1:00am.  Faculty/Staff e-mail and the “J-drive” will be unavailable. ToroMail will be unaffected.


Percussion CM1 Server Maintenance

There will be maintenance performed on the Percussion CM1 web content management server on Thursday, August 20, 2015, from 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Access to this system will not be available during this time.  Editors and contributors of migrated web sites will not be able to log on to the application and will not be able to update the department sites.  All published web sites will be still up and running.


Percussion CM1 Server Maintenance

There will be maintenance performed on the Percussion CM1 web content management server on Friday, August 14, 2015, from 9:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Access to this system will not be available during this time.  Editors and contributors of migrated web sites will not be able to log on to the application and will not be able to update the department sites.  All published web sites will be still up and running.


Chancellor's Office Monthly Maintenance

On Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 from 11:59pm until 6:00am on Sunday, August 23rd, the CO will be performing monthly maintenance on CO Application Servers. Access to CFS Production (FCFSPRD) and CFS Data Warehouse through CSYou will not be unavailable during this time.
