Perceived Teaching Effectiveness (Online Portal) 

Effective Spring 2012 semester, all PTE's for all faculty will be administered via the online PTE portal.

Accessing Portal

Faculty, college deans, department chairs and reviewers may access the Perceived Teaching Effectiveness (PTE) portal at https://dhwapp.csudh.edu/perceived/ or by clicking the above Online PTE Portal button.
  • Faculty can see reports only for courses they have taught and print.
  • Department chairs will be able to see reports for courses they taught and reports for all courses in their department.
  • Deans will be able to see reports for courses in their college.
  • Reviewers will be able to see reports for courses they have been granted access for. 
  • PTE results are available after grades have been submitted at the end of each semester.

Please follow these steps to access your PTE results.

  • Step1: Access the CSUDH Perceived Teaching Effectiveness Login site.
  • Step2: Enter your CSUDH network username and password. Click the login button.
  • Step 3: Once you have successfully logged in, you can select the appropriate semester and the course you wish to see reports for.

FAQs

The following are answers to the most frequently asked questions on the PTE portal.

Q: How do I submit my PTE Selection form?

A. The online PTE Selection form will be administered according to the PTE schedule. We recommend reviewing the Faculty Online PTE Selection Instructions before accessing the portal.

Q: I am a Department Chair. How do I approve a faculty PTE Selection form?

A: We recommend reviewing the Department Chair Online PTE Selection Approval Instructions before accessing the portal.

Q. When are the PTE results available?

A. The PTE results report are available after grades have been submitted at the end of each semester.

Q. Can I print my PTE reports?

A. Faculty may print their PTE reports for courses they taught only and will be responsible for printing. We recommend faculty keep a copy of their reports for their own records for inclusion in the RTP evaluation cycle. When ready to view and print, you will need to disable the pop-up blocker.

Q: If I leave the university, am I able to still access my PTE reports?

A. If a person leaves the university, their credentials are revoked for all CSUDH services including the PTE portal. We recommend faculty keep a copy of their reports for their own records.

Q. One of our user roles changed. Who does this affect?

A. If a change occurs with a reviewer (dean, associate dean, department chair, department reviewer), please send an e-mail to rmartinez@csudh.edu. We will update the permissions for users within the PTE portal.
