The Disabled Student Services Quick Hit list [PDF] is designed to explain services to students. The services, as well as the procedures required for obtaining specific services will be described. Your duties and responsibilities as a student are clearly presented.

To insure prompt, efficient, quality services, the guidelines described in the (Quick Hit)must be followed. The Disabled Student Services Office will attempt to meet all reasonable requests for services.

All new Disabled Students Services (DSS) Students should make an appointment to meet with the DSS Coordinator or DSS Representative to discuss your needs and determine which services are available to you.

During the initial intake, application forms will be completed and a student file will be developed. You will be asked to complete several essential forms, including an application for Disabled Services, and a Release of Information. The Release of Information form must be signed by all students requesting services from the DSS office. This permits DSS to send for verification regarding your disability. We cannot provide services until all forms have been properly completed.


If a student requests a service which is not covered by DSS Support Services, DSS will refer that student to the appropriate University department or community agency.

Issues and Concerns

DSS requests students to bring any issues and concerns related to service delivery or access to the University's buildings, programs, and activities to our attention. DSS will either address the issue and concern itself or forward it to the appropriate University department. Your willingness to make us aware will enable the DSS program and campus to better meet your needs.
