The University Police Department is the official campus location for receiving and storage of lost and found property. All found items are logged and stored at the University Police Department for six months. After six months the items are either given away to a charity or sold at auction.
If you have found an item please bring it to the University Police (Welch Hall B100) as soon as possible.
If you are looking for a lost item you may call (310) 243-3639 or go in person to the University Police Station (Welch Hall B100) at any time. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. High value dollar items are kept in a safe and may only be able to be retrieved during normal business hours.
Occasionally items are turned into the Library (310) 243-3715, Loker Student Union (310) 243-3559 or the University Bookstore (310) 243-3829. Any items turned into these areas are then brought to the University Police for storage.
