Sharon Sharp specializes in the areas of television studies, science fiction studies, and human-animal studies. Her courses include Television History, Media Industries, Communication Theory and Research, and the Senior Seminar. Sharp’s current research examines the history of animal performance in film and television. She has published articles in Science Fiction Film and Television, Women’s Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal, and Film Quarterly and has published chapters in the anthologies Global Television Formats: Understanding Television Across Borders (Routledge, 2012) and Reading Desperate Housewives (I.B. Tauris, 2006).
