The College of Education at California State University Dominguez Hills is accredited at the national level by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).  This accreditation covers the preliminary and professional clear credential programs and the MA degree programs at CSU Dominguez Hills.   The Mission of CAEP (formerly the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education - NCATE) is to advance excellent educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation that assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning.

The College of Education is also accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).  Please note this accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.

As required by Title II (Sections 205 through 208) of the Higher Education Opportunity Act (PL 110-315), institutions with teacher preparation programs prepare an annual report for Congress and the public on the preparation of their teachers. The annual reports are provided below:
