Please see the CSUDH University Catalog for details regarding admission requirements.
Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0. An undergraduate student is subject to academic probation if at any time the cumulative grade point average or Dominguez Hills grade point average falls below 2.0. Please see the University Catalog for details.
Students must meet with an academic advisor immediately after receiving the notification regarding their academic probation status. Please call the Student Services Center at (310) 243-2120 or (800) 344-5484. With the help of an academic advisor students will make a plan agreed upon by both the advisor and the student reflecting a course of action to improve the student’s grade point average (GPA). A student’s GPA must be 2.0 or higher for the student to be removed from academic probation.
Please see the University Catalog for a complete description regarding conditions leading to academic disqualification and reinstatement of formerly disqualified students.
Child Development majors will be reinstated only once. If a reinstated student is put into academic probation or disqualification for a second time, the student will no longer be able to major in Child Development.
Students must complete every course in the major with a grade of C or better. A grade of “C-” is not considered a satisfactory (passing) grade.
