Students who are unsure of their major and graduate school or career plans are invited to make an appointment with a career counselor to explore their options.

Individual Career Counseling

Professional career counselors are available to assist you on an individual basis with a range of career related issues, such as:

  • Choosing a major
  • Deciding on a career direction - We can provide a variety of assessments to help you in your decision-making process, including Focus II, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and the Strong Interest Inventory.
  • Developing job search strategies
  • Polishing your resume and interview skills
  • Deciding on graduate school
  • Changing careers

Got a quick question on a major or career-related matter? Need your resume or cover letter critiqued? Career Counselors are available to assist you on a first-come, first-served basis for questions that can be answered in 10 -15 minutes.

Weekly Drop-In Schedule:
Wednesday, 1-4 pm in summer, with additional drop-in hours during the academic year.  Call 310-243-3625 for additional hours in fall and spring semesters.
