Assistant to the Dean

In the capacity of Assistant to the Dean, Ruby Martinez provides administrative, technical and analytical support to the Dean in a wide variety of areas including: special projects, policies and procedures, budget, correspondence, maintenance of the Dean’s calendar, IT liaison, and problem solving for the day-to-day operations of the Dean’s Office.
As “Office Manager” in the Dean’s Office, Ruby oversees the clerical work of the student assistant(s), as well as, provide lead direction in the public affairs/publicity and marketing area for the College.
Like all positions throughout the College, the Assistant to the Dean supports and is an important component of the cohesive team of students, faculty and staff serving the mission of the College and University. Since one of the major functions of the Dean is raising sector funding in support of College programs, Ruby serves as liaison between the Dean's Office and a variety of external communities.
Ruby also serves as a member of the College Academic Council, Web Access Management Committee, Campus Safety Committee, the Latino Faculty and Staff Association and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
