As a CSUDH student, you’ll be challenged to think outside the typical classroom. In the process, you’ll build valuable in-demand skills that will help you reach your professional goals. Take biology major, Joselyn Yamamoto, as case in point.
Collaborating closely with her professor and mentor, Dr. Fang Wang, Joselyn works in one of our campus labs studying the molecular makeup of zebrafish. The research she’s conducting as a student could help advance groundbreaking treatments for patients who have lost their sense of touch. While improving lives, she’s also improving her problem-solving skills inside a real-world, well-equipped laboratory — a setting she plans to spend much of her time in, as a researcher and a student.
