How can I stay on top of all the deadlines during the semester?

Read your Academic Calendar! This can be found in our Online Class Schedule for each term. We recommend you print it out and put it in your notebook each semester. This calendar contains important dates about registration deadlines, payment deadlines, deadlines to drop or withdraw, term begin and end dates, and campus holidays. It is your responsibility to know all of these dates.

What is my user name and password for My.CSUDH.EDU?

This information was provided in your "Congratulations" letter. If you are not sure of your username, you can go to My.CSUDH.EDU and click on the link "Forgot your Username?" Enter your social security number and it will return your username. If you successfully activated your account when you applied and created and answered your security questions, you will be able to reset your password by correctly answering your security questions. If you have never activated your account, it is probably your 6-digit date of birth (mmddyy).

Need to reset your password? You can reset it online here. You will need to enter your CSUDH username. Follow the online prompts to reset your password. You will be required to enter your six-digit date of birth and the last 4 digits of your social security number. You will be able to use your new password immediately after being reset.

Why didn't I receive a registration appointment?

Failure to apply for admission or register by the published deadlines in the previous semester may result in not receiving a registration appointment.

Where can I check for available classes?

My.CSUDH.EDU provides the opportunity for you to check for open classes in the Student Center. Use the Search for Classes option to look for open courses, to view courses with waitlists, and to view any course modifications (all updated in real time).

What are the registration fees?

Registration fees are as follows:

  • State University Fees (mandatory for all students)
  • Other Registration Fees (mandatory for all students)
  • Tuition (non-residents only)

Registration fees vary for Undergraduate students, Graduate Students and Qualified Credential Students. Check the Schedule of Classes each semester for the detailed listing of fees. State University fees are assessed based on the number of units that you add. The part time rate is assessed on 0-6 units and the full time rate is assessed on 7.0 and over. Students who register for classes once the term begins will be assessed a $25.00 late registration fee.

What are course fees?

Some courses have lab fees or equipment fees attached to them. These fees are mandatory if you enroll in the course. They can be identified in the Class Schedule by footnote 90 or 99.
