CSUDH Graduates Thumbs Up

The CSUDH Emeritus Faculty Association (EFA), through donations from emeritus faculty and their friends, award scholarships to selected academically qualified students.

The Leo F. and Margaret B. Cain Emeritus Faculty Association Scholarship

Scholarships of $1,000 to $2,500 are awarded annually to students demonstrating academic excellence and career commitment to teaching, academic research, educational administration or other types of public service. Financial need may be considered as part of the selection process. Preference is given to graduate students, but outstanding undergraduate students may apply.

The Dr. Lois W. Chi Emeritus Faculty Association Science Scholarship

A scholarship of $1,000 to $2,000 is awarded annually to allow registered undergraduate students majoring in biology, chemistry, or in a related field in the natural sciences to continue their studies. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or better and demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Graduate students may be considered in the absence of applications from well-qualified undergraduate students.

University Scholarship Application Forms are available online from Financial Aid, beginning in November each year, and completed applications must be received by the application deadline. Awards will be announced by the end of the Spring semester and funds will be released at the beginning of the following Fall and Spring semesters.
